Quotes to tell bands without saying they suck – Part 1
So, Vic Fuentes and I have this little list of things to say to a band without actually telling them they’re god awful. For instance, say a band convinces us to come out to a show and check them out. At the end of their set, you realize they are complete horse shit – but you don’t want to be that cruel asshole that says, “have you guys ever considered selling your equipment?” So here’s a small list of quotes he and I have come up with and/or actually used in the past. (*Note: apologies ahead of time to any band(s) that have heard us say this to them. It’s life)
1. “Man, you guys are really doing it!”
2. “Looks like you guys are really having fun up there!”
3. “You’re up there and getting your name out!”
4. “Wow! It’s all happening right now!”
(*Also note, ALL quotes end in exclamation marks to come off as excited as possible)
There will be more added over time. And if you have any good ones, leave them in the comments.

I was trying to point out that these bands don’t do anything to modernize or bring music to new levels.
They also suck and have been told these exact things at some point.

Since when did Vic Fuentes become a judge of good or bad music, has he even listened to his own band?
NEWSFLASH: Pierce the Veil is mediocre at best. You’re just money making tools in the eyes of Rise Records.
I still find it odd that you’re a part of Isles & Glaciers. I mean, they pick the best singer (Jonny Craig) in the “post-hardcore/rock” genre right now and Craig Owens (whom I don’t particularly care for but at least has a listenable voice) and then throw you in the mix, why?

I happen to think this is hilarious.
I’ve been in a situation where I’ve had to use similar lines so many times it’s ridiculous.
It’s funny that someone’s finally being brutally honest about what it really means.
And just a side note: I think Vic Fuentes is talented as a musician, singer, and lyricist. If you don’t have something nice to say, grow up, and keep your mouth shut.
